• Hello,

I would like to add a image to my (left) sidebar. I am using Atahualpa theme. I cannot figure out where to do this. Can anyone please suggest how to add an image as the background in this theme?

    here is my site: everygirlssecret.com

    thanks so much!
    Hope

And just for the record: to put an image in the sidebar or to use an image as a bg in/for the sidebar… are two very different things!

Putting background images into the sidebars is not possible up to version 2.21 because the sidebars are actually “borders” due to the type of layout technique (negative margins, holy grail) being used. It will be possible in the next version of the theme though.

yes thank you….what i want it a background image for the sidebar. you can see where i have tried, but it only goes down as far as the text.

When should we expect the next version?

Also, if you don’t mind I have another question. I want to put an image in the white #pagecontainer area. I have figured out how to change the background color. But would really like to put an image in the background. An image with similar dimensions to the header. Is this possible? Any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

The next version is a complete rewrite and none of the customization tips I’d give now would apply to it. The next version should be available within a few days

    Sidebar image can be done.

Upload it to the left-container and hit repeat. It will only go down as far as the text does. Give it a height of say 6000px. Cheat it. It works!!

thanks so much for your help.
