I am new to WordPress, and apologize for my lack of problem solving skills. I’ve spent a few hours trying to solve these two problems with no luck.

#1. I made a post with an image in it. While the post will show on the front page, the image is missing. The image only shows if the post is selected, so I know it’s there. I need the posts on the front page to include images.

#2. I can’t figure out how to make the landing page have a “home” menu option. I can set up a separate page and call it “home”, which will show up as “home” in the menu, but it’s not the landing page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here’s my test site: https://test.mybeautifulsexlife.com

    Thanks so very much!
    Paul

  • I had both of these issues fixed by an external WordPress whizzkid (paid). No idea how he did it. Hopefully I will not loose his alterations in the theme when a new theme update arrives.

I am also having this issue, i.e no images showing on my front page. See https://www.fasol.nl.
Your advice would be greatly appeciated.

    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hi Paul6161719,

    1. WordPress uses the built-in post excerpt function to display content on the front page, and the post excerpt function doesn’t support the display of images. You can use the featured image function to display an image above the post. That way, the image will be included both on the front page and on single pages.

    2. Go to Appearance > Menus, click Links in the left sidebar, add the url to your homepage and enter “Home” as the label. Click Add to Menu, and the link will be added to the menu.

Thanks Anders, Didn’t realise it was this simple.
