Image in Displaying Correct in Browser

I have been fighting with my site for several days now. I am trying to post an image sized @ 900×500. When you get the info for the image it shows the correct size, but the appearance in the browser is not that size. Is there a plug in or something I can use to fix this? I really don’t want to go in and mess with the coding if it is possible.
