Image groups

    Hello again

    I have some cartoons that are split in multiple images/pages, Is there a way to display them as one group or item in the gallery? Maybe including a post that has a gallery-widget/multiple images in the mla-gallery for example.

    Thanks for your question. I have been trying to think of a way to add some sort of “group” feature to [mla_gallery] but I haven’t come up with any feasible solution. The shortcode depends on the WordPress WP_Query class to query the database (once) and select the items for display, sort them in the proper order, etc. I can’t think of any general way to add “group” items to that process.

    I regret the news is not better, but I am marking this topic resolved simply because I’ve answered the question to the best of my ability. Thanks for your understanding.

    I put my images in a native WordPress gallery inside a post. Then uploaded a thumbnail pic in media. Then for the thumbnail image I set a custom link pointing to the article using Gallery Custom Links, Not exactly simple, but works.

    Well, that’s creative! Thanks for sharing the idea so others can benefit. Thanks for the link to Gallery Custom Links, too; I love all of Jordy Meow’s plugins and have worked with him to support them in MLA.
