Image Gallery on Page posts only displays 4 images

Whenever I try to insert a Gallery into a page, I am only able to display 4 images.. Some of the galleries I am attempting to create will hold up to 50 images. I am also wondering if there is a way to create nested galleries (a gallery within a gallery).

I have tried a few different ways of doing it, but it seems like my image galleries are limited to 1-4 columns, and a max of 4 images per gallery… Is this how it’s supposed to be, or am I missing something?

I’ve also noticed that after I click on an image, I can only browse through the four images displayed on the parent page… The images load just find if I insert them in a non-gallery format, but I would really prefer to use a gallery for image management.
