Image galleries attached to Custom Post Type

  • Hi,

    I have created a custom post type, and have inserted a gallery onto one of these posts.

    The post displays fine, and the gallery shows fine. However, none of the images show up as ‘attached’ in the media manager, so I can’t query the images attached to that post.

    I realised this also happens with the standard post types. Is this a bug, or does using ‘Create Gallery’ actually not attach an image to the post?
