image files stored in wrong folders

    Need help from a WP guru! I’ve included a link to a previous thread about this so I don’t have to repeat what is going on- I really hope someone can help. I’m wondering if there is corruption and if updating wp would help? I’m not sure updating is a good idea, however, because I never made a child of my theme- afraid things would be lost, etc.
