• When I try to upload an image, this message appears:

Warning: preg_replace(): Compilation failed: unknown option bit(s) set at offset 0 in /home/ljviss/public_html/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 934

This is a newly installed site…hosting is with GoDaddy, they cannot solve the problem.

    – Is this a fresh install?
    – What did you do before this error showed up?
    – What version of PHP are you using?
    – have you tried deleting WP-includes and WP-admin and copy them back up from a fresh download.
    – Have you discussed this with your webhost?

    – I just began working on the site
    – native(5.4) – PHP version

The webhost has done what they know and are confused.

Try deleting WP-includes and WP-admin and copy them back up from a fresh download.

May be anyone of plugins, deactivate all and try again.

If I delete WP-includes and WP-admin, should I copy them first to re-upload them?

    I’ve tried deactivating the plugins.
