image doesn’t load in Lightbox

    I use folder gallery quite a time now but since recently it is behaving strangely.

    When I am logged into my WordPress site (dashboard), hence have the WordPress toolbar on top, the folder gallery works just fine and opens the Lightbox with the image I just clicked on.

    As soon as I log out and the toolbar on top disappears I can see that the Lightbox comes up, but immediately closes and the image I just clicked on will be open in a separate tab of my browser (safari, firefox).

    When I use InternetExplorer it doesn’t even open a new tab in my browser. Just nothing is happening.

    Something awkward is going on but I cannot figured out what it is. I just don’t understand what effect it has whether the WordPress-Toolbar is on top of my window or it isn’t.

    As I said, it worked beautifully a while ago in every browser. I am on all the latest versions of WordPress folder gallery and the lightboxes.

    Initially I thought this error comes from the Lightbox. So I changed from responsive Lightbox to FancyBox3. However, the same thing is happening on both lightboxes. So, I rule out that has anything to do with the Lightbox itself.

    I would be very happy if you can help me out here.

    Any clues are appreciated.

    well, I did some more trying….

    I added a third picture to the gallery. this time it is a large photo 1994x2404px

    when I click on the smaller pictures the Lightbox opens just fine and I can scroll through the next photos without errors.

    However, when I click on the large photo in order to open it inside the Lightbox, the Lightbox fails as described before.

    Seems that some calculation is going mad.

    Did you try to disabled “BJ Lazy Load” plugin (and maybe others) ?

    Hi,

    I got some good results now.
    Just disabling BJLazyLoad for the page didn’t seem to work. But deactivating the plugin entirely did the job.

    Anyway, for more than two years it worked absolutely brilliant with BJLazyLoad activated. What did it cause to stop working……
