Image deletion loading GIF keeps cycling

  • When an image file is uploaded, submitted, then deleted, the loading GIF keeps cycling, it doesn’t stop or refresh the page.
    To be able to upload another image file in it’s place, the page needs to be reloaded on the browser tab.
    Is there a way to fix that?

    Something is going wrong with the deletion — that should not happen. An occasional network glitch could cause it, but if it happens all the time, you have a problem.

    When an item is deleted, it is removed from the database AND the uploaded image file is deleted. If you no longer see anything after your reload, the item was most likely deleted from the database ok, but something happened during the deletion of the image file.

    If you know how to, I’d suggest checking your log files for clues, and also checking your wp-content/uploads/ewz_image_uploads folder to see if the image file itself was actually deleted or not. If not, make sure the http server process has permission to delete from that folder.
