Image cropping isn’t working

  • Using the built-in image cropping feature in the media library under “edit image” I am unable to crop a thumbnail version and get it to save. I’ve tried WP 4.7.1 and 4.7.2. I’ve deactivated all plugins, changed the them to 2017, AND have tried this on 3 WP installs on 3 different servers (3 different hosting companies).

    The image crops, I click Save, and it doesn’t update or display in the post despite refreshing the browsers and regenerating the thumbnails.

    The 1:1 ratio field doesn’t seem to work, either, as I’m able to create a rectangular image with that setting.

    And on occasion yesterday, I was getting “NaN” characters in the field where you specify an exact size for a crop.
