Image compression not occurring as expected

    Hello. I have a JPG image that is 7 MB in size. If I open it in Photoshop, then ‘save for web’ with ‘medium’ jpg compression, the resulting file size is 1 MB. I have now installed your plugin on my site, and uploaded the original 7 MB image to WordPress. But the resulting image in my WordPress media library is still 7 MB. Is that expected, or am I misunderstanding something?
