I love your tool, but the image compression is not good. On the homepage I took a PNG image and compressed it losslessly. I expected a 5% margin, but I got 23%!

I did a scan of one of your competitor plugins and in fact it says that many images have a large margin of compression, maintaining good quality. The image that received 23% more compression with lossyless compression achieved almost 45% reduction in this test!

I tried setting the Auto Quality Powered by ML(Machine Learning) to the minimum quality, but using the competing tool, the compression was the same. The performance also seems identical.

For now the Auto Quality Powered by ML(Machine Learning) setting is automatic.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    HI there,

Thank you for taking the time to do the tests. I would love to look into this. Can you share the comparison image links, both to the Optimole one and other solutions that you tested.

I can’t guarantee that we can provide the absolute lowest size from the market since we try to balance quality and size when doing this, however you should close to those if not better.

I would love to look into this.

I noticed that the competing tool didn’t compare your image to theirs, but rather the original to theirs. So it seemed like your compression was worse.

In any case, you should add lossless compression after lossy compression, because the image weight can be much lower.

    Hi,

Seems like you are using the best format which prioritize quality over compression, we try to compress as much as possible without adding artifacts.

You can choose to disable that which will serve webp, the image in question weighting 4.7KB afterwards.

What path do I follow to prioritize performance? The pictures look good.

    Hi,

You can go to Settings -> Compression and disable the Best Format option.

    I hope this helps.

Image compression in Popular Post plugins doesn’t work.

I notice that the names of YARPP images, popular posts, categories are completely changed. Why?

Why are the images in posts not optimized? In the categories they are in avif, but in the posts in PNG.

    Hi there,

Make sure you have the AVIF option enabled and Best format Option disabled in Optimole settings.

    Thank you!

Of course I did that, or I wouldn’t have the categories with avif! Instead, they are the posts that do not have optimized images.

I found the culprit: if the Noscript Tag is activated, the posts are loaded in the best format. I hope you will solve the problem of the Noscript Tag enabled, so as to offer the lightweight compatible format to those who have old browsers.
