Hi! I’ve been saving up space for my website. So, I used the SiteGround Optimizer to help. At first, I used the highest option (I believe it’s 85%). Then, I realized the images looked too blurry. So, I used the lowest option (25%). Both of them loaded the images to match the compression level.

Does anyone know if it actually changes from the highest option to the lowest option. So, it doesn’t look as blurry? I wasn’t sure if it just ADDED the 25% up top of the 85%. It didn’t seem like it, but I just wanted to be sure because I don’t want to re-upload all the images again. Also, I didn’t backup my images due to it taking up a ton of space.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @ashleyjpurdy,

Once the images are compressed they remain in the compression you chose. The only way to preserve the original compression is by backing up the original images.

In case you do not want the compressed images you have the option to restore the folders under the /uploads directory. You can do that from your Site tools panel > Security > Backups section.

If you require support doing that you can open a new Helpdesk request.

    Best regards,
