Conditional Images is a free mini-extension for Composite Products. Composite Products is ideal for creating configurable kits with multiple slots/components.
In your case, you could create a Composite Product with 3 components. In each component, you could add all the available print designs. Then, using the Conditional Images mini-extension you could make the main Composite image update every time a new print design is selected. To get started with this, I suggest having a look at the examples we have created at: https://github.com/somewherewarm/woocommerce-composite-products-conditional-images.
