I got a new header image for my site (https://www.samanthalienhard.com/), and I made sure the background of the header image is the same shade as the background of my blog. When I open the file and compare them, it’s clear they’re the same.

However, if I upload the header image to WordPress (either as a header or just as an image), it darkens the image background to black. Why is it doing this, and how can I change it?

make the background of the header image transparent, no need to match the colours ??

Since the current background of the header image has a texture, instead of being just plain gray, I’d rather not, but I will if there’s no other solution.

I solved the issue by saving the picture as a PNG-24 file. Then it worked!
