    This is really tricky and would be major enhancement

    Basically themes that handle captions like this are doing so in a legacy way, in that the caption is stored as a paragraph, rather than the semantic figcaption tag.

    Therefore the logic to transform the html to instant article markup is complex and would require me to rewite some of existing functions. Noting this is possible but it would be a majorish enhancements and as more modern themes are moving to outputting html5, which handles this semantically, the issue will fix itself and is not on my to do list.

    Your options are:

    1. Change themes or upgrading your current theme by following this tutorial, it will fix instant article the issue you have with my plugin but it could cause presentation issues on your website.
