  • Can you post a link to a page where the image captions should be appearing but aren’t? If you temporarily switch to the default Twenty Sixteen theme, do the image captions appear? Since you’re using a commercial WordPress theme, you may have better luck getting support from your theme’s vendors. After all, that’s part of what you paid for.

    Thanks Stephen,

Yes here’s the page: the images all have captions in them (in the Media Library) but as you can see, they’re nowhere to be found.

In the Twenty Sixteen theme, not only did the captions not appear, but the images don’t appear.

I’ve tried deactivating all plugins and even then they don’t appear either!

    :-/

I’m afraid I’m not familiar with your theme; does it include some sort of page-building feature? If so, it’s possible that whatever method your theme uses to build pages doesn’t include the captions. As I don’t have access to your theme, though, it would be best for you to contact your theme’s authors. After all, that’s part of what you paid for.

Thanks Stephen. My theme uses Visual Composer, but perhaps it overrides VC’s caption function. Anyway, I’m working on it…
