    I see how to disable and enable the captions under the pictures in general. If I want captions on some pictures and not on others on other pages how can I do that? Otherwise the option in settings will effect the captions site wide. Thanks.

    There is no shortcode setting to turn captions on/off.

    One way to work around this would be to set the title of the image to   anywhere you don’t want the caption displayed. Not the greatest solution, but does work fine in my test case.

    Version 2.3.4 contains a new shortcode option “nocaptions” that allows you to override the global setting for each occurrence of the gallery. Values are true or false.
