Image can’t be deleted

  • hi guys,

    been working with wordpress for over 10 years. never had this problem before.
    editor: delete picture in the above post.
    save.
    picture right back in editor, same in frontend.
    same when deleting it in source code mode.
    newest version, error appeared on an old one as well.
    all plugins disabled.

    looks like i can’t even do any text changes…nothing is saved.

    any ideas?

    are you able to manage the situation from the database area instead of WordPress dashboard?

    i can, yes. just one page in wp not to be updated in any way.

    am i understanding your reply correctly:
    even when you attempt to edit the post’s (id=18) content directly in the database, you are unable to save changes to the content?

    update: i updated to 4.9.4, updated all plugins. activated standard theme, deactivated all plugins, cleared browser cache. no change. some posts can’t be saved at all, others are working. all pages.

    cleaned up the whole db wit wp sweep. no success.

    i can edit the page only through wp_posts in phpmyadmin

    and one more: not working in source mode as well. getting mad…

    i installed a new wordpress in a subfolder /new
    edited the htaccess in the root, permalinks and wp-config to let the site run through the sub folder, connecting to the same db. no edit of many posts is possible. so the error seems to come straight out of the db – anybody got anymore ideas?
