Image Browser giving "No input file specified."

NextGen Gallery 2.0.40
The image browser (and slideshow) is showing the first image in the gallery, but when you select to go to the next image the error message comes up “No input file specified.”

I’ve changed most of our pages to thumbnail views, but would prefer that people be able to browse the images. Hopefully this is simply part of the problem with the upgrade. If anyone has a solution would love to hear it since this is the last piece I need for this site.
