    Hi

Some time ago there was an issue with Yoast and attachment pages for images. Now, it automatically defaults to saying “yes” for attachment urls to redirrect to the image itself. I have this selected. However, I can still see specific image urls for all of my images in my posts. I didn’t think this was supposed to happen. I would appreciate some advice here, please.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello Rabbitskmc,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your attachment URLs. Yes, the recommended setting is to choose to redirect attachment URLs to the attachment itself. This does not mean you won’t see the specific image URLs anymore. But an /attachment-sitemap.xml/ will not be created. You automatically redirect attachment page URLs to the actual image, preventing thin content on your site. You can learn more at https://yoast.com/features/redirect-attachment-urls/
