Image attachment problems – help!

Hi,

I have various images in my library and I also have a sidebar widget that displays random images. If I am signed in as WP admin, when I click on the image in the widget it displays on a new post where you can leave comments, however if i am not logged in (as will be my visitors) it says page not found.

On a side note – i am using photosmash plugin to display images in a gallery here https://www.ihatethameslink.co.uk/pictures-and-captions/ which allows visitors to upload pics. A couple of pics have been uploaded, and in my library it says these pics are attached to the page ‘pictures-and-captions’ and these pictures are actually displayed on a post when clicked in the widget.

I have tried to find a way to attach my other pics to the page but dont know how.
