image as thumbnail

    Hi, i’m loving your plugin very much, but i’d like to know, if i can use not a “thumbnail”, but a “featured image” in the list of popular posts.

    I read your FAQ about which image is picked, but i still get “no thumbnail”.

    I’m using “Featured image from URL” plugin, so maybe that’s the case.

    If there’s any way to add “featured image” (especially that from FIFU plugin to popular posts list?

    Hi @pocomaxa,

    I’m using “Featured image from URL” plugin, so maybe that’s the case.

    From what I can see on its source code apparently the Featured Image From URL plugin saves the image URL in a custom field called fifu_image_url.

    To get WordPress Popular Posts to show your “Featured image from URL”, try selecting the Custom Field option, then set Custom field name to fifu_image_url and click on Apply to save changes.

    Where should I put that Custom field name? Here?

    Or should i make a custom field named “thumb_img” and put fifu_image_url there?

    i tried both and got no result((

    Sorry for asking stupid quiestions, but I like your plugin very much and i’d like to use it in full capacity)

    Nope, not there.

    Go to Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools (as mentioned on the link I shared earlier), set Pick image from: to Custom field and you’ll see the Custom field name input field I mentioned earlier. Then:

    … set Custom field name to fifu_image_url and click on Apply to save changes.
