I work at a marketing and SEO company and our SEO staff noticed that the output syntax of foogallery does not satisfy requirements for proper syntax in regard to the image tags – namely the alt and title attributes. Although these values are filled in, they are not being output into the gallery code.

This also presents an issue for any visually impaired users as the accessibility of the code does nothing to indicate what the images are via alt and title attributes for screen readers. In my opinion, accessibility should be taken seriously and implemented as a best practice. see here – https://www.w3.org/WAI/intro/accessibility.php

I would love to see this implemented into the plugin for ACCESSIBILITY reasons primarily and also for SEO reasons.

Could a dev let me know if there are any options I’m missing or if this is on a roadmap for future release? Perhaps there is a quick workaround that can be implemented until future release?

    thanks in advance!
    -Chris

i wish i had a solution for you – it doesn’t look like there is much support for non-paying users.

    Hi Chris

We have discussed this at length, and will be adding this to the roadmap for the next major release.

BTW – FooGallery only has non-paying users, as it is a free plugin.
