  • im using 2.5.1 and wanted to go back to 2.3.1 plz help!

    what should i do to go back to the older version.. plz help..
    because the script im using didn’t work on the new version of wp..

  • 1. Backup your current files and database first (see WordPress Backups).

    2. Then DROP your 2.5.1 database tables and restore your database backup from 2.3.1 (see Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup).

    3. Delete the 2.5.1 WordPress files.

    4. Restore your 2.3.3 files from your backup.

    ok.. another thing.. i really don’t know if i have this back up coz i’m using automatic upgrade plugin.. can that plugin automatically provides a back up???.. sorry for being a noob..

    If it is this plugin then it does say, “Backs up the database and makes available a link to download it.”

    wew… that hurts coz i failed to back it..tsk tsk tsk.. tnx man.

    Check all your wordpress folders – maybe in wp-content/backupxxxx you might see the database backup.

    yha i have that one..is that the one…??? now ..i need someone to sit with me who’s familiar with databases for me not to ruin everything.. tnx a lot..

    oh my god.. nothing was in there…

    anyway, is it possible to load 2.3.1 files and change 2.5.1 files in my present file???..

    Ask your host if they have a backup.
