I'm trying to add tweetnest to wordpress and…

Hi everyone long time member / wordpress lover here.

I Hope this is not confusing and I’m sure I’m going about this all wrong but I’m learning and having fun. I appreciate any and all help you can offer. I’ve little time to fully learn all the things I need (php, mysql etc) and so I hope someone will point me in the right direction. I’m way over my head I know but we all start somewhere.

I’ve been hacking tweetnest into my local install of wp3.1 (in mu mode). Things are working out well ish. I really just added the files to my 2010 child theme and have made pages and page templates for the various bits.

I can load the main tweetnest page no problems I even have the search (not wp but I would like that) function working and displaying.

My problem is with the month / day views and how it creates the links and dynamically make the page. Sorry if that makes no sense. Look at the demo here. The /2011/04/ it adds for the month makes wp look for the post archives. I guess the page I made for the months not sending the right header info or maybe it’s a permalink thing?

I’ve all the data in the wp db and was thinking I could just make new query’s to make my own year, month, day archives. But I don’t know how to go about that. I’m reading this codex info.

Maybe there is a way I could use the tweetnest data (tweets) in the db to make them posts? This would be best.
