I'm thick…I need links!

    Right….I am not the most computer literate person ever – so might need a bit of help, and might be using all the wrong terms, but please be gentle with me!

    Firstly I have no idea what version of wordpress I’m using…the most recent one?? How do I find out?!

    More importantly – I have set up my page structures and so that I have a few menu options and then some of these options go off into different little nests etc. I need some of the second or third attributes (if that makes sense) to be links that don’t have an actual page, they just go to a link I specify or possibly straight to the next ring down in the hierarchy of pages.

    I’ve worked out how to do this with menu items that are showing on the site as the main menu, but I want to keep all my parent structures etc.

    Please help!

    How do I find out?

    In your Dashboard, look in the Right Now pane.

    You could try adding these “empty” links using the Custom Url option and using # as the actual link.

    Thanks for your response – I’m sorry – I don’t know where/what the custom url option is…and would doing this just mean it couldn’t be clicked?

    I actually want it to link out to somewhere else – is this possible?
