    Your IP is in the local Blacklist

    AVH F.D.A.S -> General Options -> Blacklist

    Duh. For some reason I thought clearing it out of the cache log would clear it.

    So how can I tell how I got in the list?

    OK. Been nearly a week since I removed my IP from the Blacklist. Still anyone in my house is getting blocked. Any ideas of what’s up?

    Is there a master Blacklist I have to apply to to get myself removed from?

    What’s the email message say you get for being blocked? The plugin can send an email to the site admin with info on who gets blocked and why.

    Another option is to add your IP to the whitelist.

    I get all kinds of AVH emails. Moderated, AVH errors, cache cleanups, etc…

    But nothing about this IP being blocked.

    It is NOT in the local blacklist.

    Adding it to the white list worked.

    But I’d still like to know were the block is coming from so I can clear it up.

    If the IP is blocked you receive an email with that IP address in the subject line.

    The body of the email will tell what blocked the IP. Could be cache, 3rd party.

    I have also just found myself blocked from my own site. My IP is not in my local blacklist, so what is the process for removing my IP from whatever list AVH is drawing it from? I certainly haven’t been spamming anyone.

    My IP changes whenever I reboot, so adding it to my whitelist worked but if I was in the AVH blacklist, I’d like to be able to get out of it.

    What does the email says that is send on your IP being blocked?

    If it’s cache, remove your IP from the cache.]Otherwise if you are accessing your site and find yourself blocked it’s either Project Honey Pot of Spamhaus, if it’s when commenting it could be Stopforumspam as well.
