• does anyone know how to fix the rss feed when you click on the logo and it says ‘not found on this server’ and ‘Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request’?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • maybe try re-writing your permalinks (by re-saving them in your admin)

Also hold onto your hair because when u fix it, u will be like, “oh. my hair. and that was so ez to fix”

You’re using default Permalinks. /feed/ isn’t a default permalink style.

Change that url to https://www.trickdigital.co.uk/?feed=rss2 and see what happens.

    I don’t think I’ve explained this very well…

The RSS feed is working in the URL bar, but when I click the little orange logo in the header of the site, it says –

    ‘Not Found
The requested URL /feed/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.’

Is there any way to fix this issue?

    Many thanks in advance guys
    ??

    its aleady been answered:

    typing this:

    https://www.trickdigital.co.uk/?feed=rss2

    into your browser works.

    The image points to this:

    https://www.trickdigital.co.uk/feed/

They arent the same. and no amount of pasting this:

    https://www.trickdigital.co.uk/feed/

into your browser, is going to work.

You are NOT using pretty permalinks, the wrong url, the one that doesnt work, assumes that you are.

    So ..

you either use pretty pemalinks (thats explained, ONCE AGAIN, in the link handy provided), or you change where clicking on that image takes you.

    Thank you whooami ??

    anticipating your next question:

where/how do i change where clicking on that image takes you?

Edit the theme files that loads that image and creates that link.

The image name is feed-icon-16×16.gif — surely you can look through your theme’s header.php (to start) and locate that.
