I'm not understanding Price Groups
-
I either don’t understand what “Price Groups” are supposed to do, or I’m doing it wrong.
Testing locally, I added an image as big as the biggest I intend to sell.
I assigned it a license and a Price Group. I previously created a Price Group with four sizes, each size listing a different price.
When I went to “purchase” that image, I expected to see the 4 sizes and their corresponding prices listed in the “Size” drop down menu. Is that what’s supposed ot happen? All I have available in that menu is the Original, listing the original’s dimensions, and my default price which is NOT what I want the large size to sell for.
Do you think this a problem caused by running WordPress locally?
Am I completely missing the point of Price Groups?
Both WordPress and the SellMedia plugin are current as of this writing.
I’m also concerned by the point Bunzer raised in another thread – the resizing (once I get it working) isn’t proportional? I have a mix of horizontal and vertical images and they aren’t all cropped to the same aspect ratio. I’m used to Photoshop’s automated Image Processor tool where you define a maximum width or height value and the image is resized proportionally to those constraints. That’s not how SellMedia does it?
Thanks so much for any insights.
Steve
