I’m not understanding how to make the field a drop down

I’m not sure if I’m even setting this up correctly. I am re-doing my website and trying to stay away from custom coding. I want to be able to categorize images so the image grid can display just the images in a given category depending on the choice made by the viewer. Are you just trying to make the taxonomy a select a dropdown for easily tagging the images?
If so it’s very easy! You just need to enable the “Hierarchy” option near the bottom of the main settings tab:
Based on the live URL though it seems like perhaps you don’t need a taxonomy though…I would just create a post type named “Albums” and then each album has photos added in the album.
That makes more sense to me.
