I'm not the author but I'm getting the credit.

    Hello there,

    That’s because the posts are submitted anonymously and to add a post in wordpress, a registered author must be assigned as author of the post which our plugin will get from the plugin’s general settings “Assign Author” section.

    And the author name and email recieved from the form are stored as the custom fields of that specific post for the admin reference.
