I'm looking for code to set a default featured image for my posts

    I’m about to switch to the premium MH Newsdesk theme, but before I activate that theme, I was wondering if anybody could provide me with some code that would make the first image of all of my posts the default featured image. If I must activate it before you can provide me with code, then I can do that, but I am going to wait unless that’s absolutely necessary.

    Sorry, I’m not interested in that plugin. It allows me to put featured images up, but I don’t like how the picture just kind of sits on top of the article. I like my images to be wrapped by text usually, and that plugin doesn’t allow that. Thanks anyway

    I’d rather just put the image in the post and then whatever photo appears first in the article to be the featured image also (not showing it twice in the article either.)

    The premium version of MH Newsdesk has an option to disable the featured image on posts. So if you also have embedded the same image manually and have disabled the featured image on posts, it won’t appear twice.

    Awesome. I see where I can set a featured image when i make a new post (or not set one), but I don’t see where I can disable the featured image option completely.. could you please tell me how I can do that?

    The option to disable the featured image on posts isn’t available in the free theme. It is included in the premium version of MH Newsdesk. That probably is why you can’t see it.

    However, if you already have purchased the premium theme and need support, then this is the wrong forum because on www.remarpro.com only free themes are supported and not commercial themes. For our premium customers we have separate support forums where we will be more than happy to assist. The link to support is included in the email which you have received after your purchase (in case you have purchased).

    What I would really like is for the first image that is in a post that I inserted manually to be the featured image, without showing twice in the post. Right now I have featured images globally disabled because I hate seeing duplicate images in one post. Do you think anyone with the premium MH Newsdesk support could provide code to do that or am I just out of luck? I’m signing up right now to join their support forum
