I'm having trouble with my search functionality.

I’m trying to get my search to work correctly. I took the Twenty Ten search.php and modified it with my own header, footer and sidebar. I then made a searchform.php and used it in my sidebar. I have things looking alright but for the life of me it just won’t find any content. It always says “Sorry, but nothing matched your search criteria. Please try again with some different keywords.” Which I understand is the else part of the statment in the loop. I did copy over the loop.php that Twenty Ten uses so that it would use that. What am I missing?
