• Hi, I just searched for a string in my pages, say “1234” and there are no results. However, I have pages with this text, for example:

    [if_get_param name=”q” type=”a” value=”1″]
    <div class=”visible-xs visible-sm”>
    [display-frm-data id=1234 filter=1]
    </div>
    [/if_get_param]

    Thanks

    Just upgraded to ACF: Better Search 2.0.7. Taking all the recommended steps, no custom code (as described above) still not working. Offered access to site, any support would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    I can confirm that version 2.0.7 does not work in my current environment, nor in a default setup with just ACF Pro and the plugin. It worked prior to upgrading. Unfortunately, I don’t recall the previous version that I had installed.

    I had the first stable version of the plugin (1.0.0) installed on an old development site, and used it instead — it works. I changed the version number on the plugin to 20.0.0 to prevent updates until this is resolved.

    Perhaps the author can (1) Make older versions available; and (2) Install a default setup and attempt to duplicate the issue as I and @websnextlevel have.

    If this goes unresolved, and/or when I have the time and inclination, I’ll fix it in 2.0.x — but for now using an old version is my workaround.

    Hi,

    How can we get version 1, which appears to work from above (@kenzik)? Love the concept, but do we conclude there is insufficient support for the plugin and look for alternatives?

    Perhaps we can add some feedback here to let others know:

    Hi @websnextlevel and @kenzik,

    What is your problem exactly? Do you have any errors?

    If you don’t have a errors and don’t search content, just enable the ACF PRO plugin, my plugin and one of the default WP templates. Next send me a screenshot of the edition of the page you would like to search for.

    Hi mateuszgbiorczyk, I didn’t hear back for a while, but here this info. To start, the problem is as described in this topic.

    So, the problem and errors are as documented above. Please confirm.

    For testing, I’m using only your plugin and ACF Pro, as well as, a default theme. I have upgraded everything including your plugin to Version 2.1.3. Same issues.

    When I search for say “12345” within pages: https://alpha-01-2018-upgrades-missing-view.qzp.ca/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page

    I get no results, while 12345 does exists in one of my pages within an ACF Flexible Content field. I’m not sure what you mean by edition of page, but I have screen shots, where do I send them?

    Thanks

    Hi @websnextlevel,

    Please upload them for some photo hosting and provide a links. Send a screenshot of the page edition, page with an ACF field group and plugin settings page.

    Hi, still not sure what you mean by page edition. If you can tell me what screenshots you need that would provide missing information from what I provided over the last several months, that would be great! During this time I’ve have to research other options.

    For now, I’m using using this which looks to work fine: https://adambalee.com/search-wordpress-by-custom-fields-without-a-plugin/

    Hi @websnextlevel,

    I need a page where you edit the list of fields from Advanced Custom Fields plugin (ACF Groups) and edition page for a single post, where you enter some values in these fields.
