• Help,

I’ve got blocked by the plugin and also can’t login to unlock myself.

    Below is the error

    Access Denied
This site is protected by the Stop Spammer Registrations Plugin.
If you feel that you have been blocked in error, you may notify the Admin and ask to placed on the system white list. This site’s admin will be notified and can review the reason why you were blocked.
Please ask nicely to be admitted here.

I can go to phpmyadmin but I don’t know what to do.

    Thanks

  • You need to delete the plugin through FTP or the file manager.

You can find the plugins in your wordpress installation directory in the wp-content/plugins folder.

I am not sure how it blocked you because the plugin white lists the admin right away and by default allows you to login if you have a valid name and password. The worst thing that could happen is that the CAPTCHA comes up and you have to enter that.

Unless you changed some of the settings.

There is no “Back Door” because then spammers would use it to get into your site.

    Hey there,

It’s not blocking me. I can log in. Its all about the _display_ of the public page. For Aspire, whenever you “close” a comment on a page which has pre-existing comments, the page gets all screwed up. It is some conflict with WordPress or fault within the theme itself. I don’t know.

I was thinking that a plugin may be able to close comments and avoid the Aspire conflict with WordPress glitch. In the past, all I had to do was uncheck that box in settings->discussions, and it would be corrected on all pages affected by the problem.

Now tho, I cant do the same sort of global “undo.”

Because it’s all or none in Aspire, I’ve had to allow comments. But the spam is just inordinate. I thought if I closed comments–with a plugin–I might finally be free of that. I dont really want open comments anyway: but alas the Aspire-WordPress conflict or whatever.

I have to go into each page, edit mode, and check “allow comments.” Once I do that, the page is normal again. But I really cant go to every page and manually reset each one, one by one.

I need a way to globally allow for comments on each post (thereby correcting the display problem). For some reason, that facility (as noted above) has been disabled.

    Does that make sense?

    Thanks.

It sounds like it is not a problem with the stop spammers plugin. However, you can try to uncheck the box for “red herring” on the stop spammers settings page. This sometimes cures some theme conflicts.
