I’m publishing events using your plugin – love it!

I don’t sell or allow any ticket reservations directly, but I would like my users to be able to tick a box saying “I’m attending” or “I’m going”, is this possible?

Ideally I’d love this to also add the event to their profile page and reflect in the activity stream.

you can do that using custom event attribute – https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/event-attributes/

I think angelo got confused here… event attributes won’t help here.

In BP, the activity stream is updated when a booking is made, but we don’t have an ‘im not going’ button.

    Thanks for the responses ??

I guess I’m asking for a toggle-able “I’m going” button. If you imagine something like a ‘Like’ button from Facebook? That way where the event is 3rd party or their are no tickets users can still complete an action that shows attendance.

I understand it’s not a small request but I think it would be a great feature flexible for buddypress, I hope you agree ??

something we’ll consider in the future for sure (you’re not the first and I imagine not the last to ask this), but as we have a lot of features in the pipeline already this may take a while.

Of course, thank you for considering it as a feature, and thanks for making a great plugin!

Was a solution ever found for this? I am using the Events Manager to display limited event information – event name, location, date/time and description. I have therefore disabled Booking altogether.

I am using BuddyPress, too, so the members profile has an “Events I’m Attending” section – which reads “Not attending any events yet.” I assume this is because a) the member has not booked, because bookings are disabled – so how can we get an “I’m attending” and to display the events the user is attending? Anybody ever figured this out?
