Illegal string offset ‘title’

  • I’m using WordPress 5.3.2, Woocommerce 4.0.1 and Woocommerce Compare 2.3.20 to develop a new website and I’m getting the following warnings in the woocompare widget and cart widget on a shop page:

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘title’ in C:\xampp\htdocs\sbf\wp-content\plugins\yith-woocommerce-compare\widgets\class.yith-woocompare-widget.php on line 41

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘title’ in C:\xampp\htdocs\sbf\wp-content\plugins\yith-woocommerce-compare\widgets\class.yith-woocompare-widget.php on line 42

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘title’ in C:\xampp\htdocs\sbf\wp-content\plugins\woocommerce\includes\widgets\class-wc-widget-cart.php on line 62

    I’m assuming that this is a bug in the code as I have not made any customizations to my installation.

    Please, try to deactivate all plugins and see if the problem disappear. If so, try to activate them again one by one and see which one produces the issue.
    If the problem is not from a plugin, try to activate the default theme Twenty Sixteen or Twenty Seventeen and see if you have the same issue.
    Remember that if you have a plugin for the cache, you need to delete the cache before to disable it.
