Illegal string offset 'is_variation'

Looks like invalid data in your attributes. I’ll add a workaround.

Thank you for the speedy support! It solved the initial problem, but no variations shows up now, and i have already checked that all is in order on the backend. The variations worked just five days ago.

Do these variation attributes contain special chars such as quotes?

It looks like a plugin may be corrupting those attributes. is_variation should be true.

Something is definitely affecting the attribute data. Disable other plugins and find the culprit.

Just disabled all plugins except woocommerce, and there is no change im afraid. Updated link, i tried with a new product:

Switch themes too. I’ve never seen the attribute data break in the way you are seeing.

switched to twentyfifteen, same problem

After switching, resave or re-add the attributes, then the variations. Send a login to me via twitter DM if you want me to look. @mikejolley

It worked! I just updated the product, and it works in twentyfifteen, and also in Virtue when i switched back. However, i just added another product, and that does not work, just as with the first one.. Damn it!
