Illegal String Offset error in functions.php

    I am new at wordpress. I just installed a theme “the dawn” and now trying to configure it, but a problem arise that i got errors printed in my admin panel under many theme options.

    Warning: Illegal string offset ‘header-text’ in ‘\\wp-content\themes\thedawn\thedawn\functions.php’ on line 457

    Plz help me to get rid of this issue.
