Illegal re. RGPD + Bad impact on page speed

Respectfully, your review shows a lack of understanding of how the plugin works and the legal requirements of GDPR. The info that you claim our plugin sends is actually data that Stripe’s js.stripe.com script collects. That information is used by Stripe to reduce fraud and to process payments.

When you use the Stripe payment platform, you are agreeing to their terms of service and the data they collect to process payments. If collecting customer billing address data and payment info was illegal, then online payments would not be possible. You’re in effect stating that Stripe the company is in violation of GDPR and doing something illegal which makes no sense.

Had you taken the time to review the settings available within Stripe you would see you can control the pages which load payment options, and thus the Stripe Javascript files. Or you could have created a support thread where we would have gladly explained the available plugin options.

Man can only disagree with that, and your feedback is incorrect.

According to GPDR, if tracking / cookies are refused by visitor, any tracking tool or “trick” should be deactivated. As an illustration, in such a case, it’s not allowed to download Google fonts from Google, they are to be on server side.

what is the issue here? If Gpay is implemented on product pages, a js script is linking to Google, and Google is recording each visited page by the visitor.

Also, there is no formal declaration from stripe that they are commercially using the information that they are collecting via your plugin.

Anyway, the fact that there is a js script linking to Google on every product page is not legal, from RGPD point of view.
