I’ll be the first to say I’m stupid…

  • …but I can’t figure this out. I’ve been reading info from the “About” section, going through installation guides, etc., and I still don’t get it.

    If anybody could give me the gist about what is Word Press? Is it compatible with Blogger.com? and how I can best utilize it? It seems great from the demos, I just can’t figure out how to get there.

  • It is a blogging tool. A software. A script.
    You need your own domain and a hosting package (to be hosted) and you would install WP there.

    No, it is not “compatible” with anything. It’s a stand-alone script.

    No, not unless you are interested in continuing to have a hosted blog — in which case you need to go here:

    https://www.wordpress.com

    The software, wordpress, that is supported here, is of the kind that you upload to your OWN webspace, and install.

    Completely different set up than what you see at blogger or wordpress.com
