IInputting images, slideshows,or multiple articles

Please help!
I have a wordpress site, I want to use it to display my portfolio of published writing to potential employers. One idea was to use scanned images of the finalpublished articles. I have them all scanned and they are on both my computer and in my Picasa web albums. how do i get them on my wordpress site? i mean, when I take them from my drive, the image has awful resolution. When i try to take them from the Picasa web albums site, I amk apparently m,issing something. I don’t know what “source” means when I try to link the pic. Everytime I put a source, like a URL, it puts a big red X there. What’s more there’s a space for a URL on the bottom. None of the images are being embedded. I even tried embedding a slideshow of the album (Picasa has this feature) but that doesn’t work either.

Ok, assuming I have to just take the text of my articles and put them in, but I want each article to be separated frompast articles.
