Ignoring a state

    Hello!
    a client asks me to override VIES validation for a specific state. Example: I sell in Italy and Italian VAT numbers should not be validated by the system.

    Regarding your inquiry, the plugin offers the functionality to display the EU VAT field in the checkout process for specific countries, while hiding it for others. To configure this, please follow these steps:

    1. Go to WooCommerce -> Settings -> EU VAT -> General
    2. Scroll down to the “Show field for selected countries only” option
    3. Enter the country codes (in a comma-separated list) for the countries where you want the EU VAT field to be displayed

    Additionally, the plugin also allows you to make the EU VAT field optional for some countries and mandatory for others. You can find the relevant setting in the same section of the plugin settings.
