• Same issue as with the “Booster” plugin:
Volume discounts are ignored in the calculation.

    Example:
The minimum order amount is set to 10 Dollar, and there is a volume discount of 10% for quantities >10.
    1. Customer places 9 pieces in the shopping cart -> Total is 9 Dollar -> under threshold
    = order can’t be placed

    2. Customer places 10 pieces in the shopping cart -> Total is 9 Dollar (10 Dollar -10% volume discount) -> under threshold
= order is allowed, regardless the threshold isn’t reached

    Hi @volkerforster,

Sorry for the late reply, and sorry to hear that there are issues with our plugin. Let me check this – which plugin are you using for a volume discounts?

    Hi,

I am using “Woo Discount Rules” from Flycart

    Hi @volkerforster,

I have just tested it with “Woo Discount Rules” plugin. Unfortunately, I was not able to reproduce the issue. I’ve added their “Bulk Discount” rule, and set 10% discount for 10 pcs. When I add 10th item to the cart, total becomes $9 and I’m not allowed to checkout.

This being said – please update the plugin to the latest v3.1.1 (released just a couple of minutes ago). There I’ve added a couple of new options which may help.

First of all – there is new “Exclude fees” checkbox in “WooCommerce > Settings > Order Min/Max Amount > General > Order Sum Options”. Enabling this actually gives the opposite results on my test server – I’m allowed to checkout with 10 pcs. / $9 now (as fees are now excluded), but maybe I have misunderstood you and this is actually what you want? Please note that for this option to have any effect, you must enable “Show discount in cart as coupon instead of changing the product price” checkbox in “Woo Discount Rules” plugin’s “Bulk Discount” rule options.

Second option I’ve added – “Exclude taxes” (it’s in the same settings section as “Exclude fees”). Don’t think it will help, but just to be sure – by default min amount in our plugin is set with taxes. Now you can change this.

There is also “Exclude discounts” option there – this actually was added to our plugin earlier, and I didn’t notice that it would have any effect on “Woo Discount Rules”, however, it may be that I didn’t find some extra settings in their plugin, so please give it a try.

Please let me know if any of that helps. Overall, this really seems like some minor issue and I’m sure I will be able to figure it out in the end.

And final note – I’ve also tested min amounts with my own volume discounts plugin – Wholesale Pricing for WooCommerce – and it also seems to be working fine, i.e. I’m not allowed to checkout with 10 pcs. / $9.

    Hi @volkerforster,

Sorry to bother, but maybe you had a chance to look into it? Also, we’ve released new plugin v3.1.2 today, where I’ve added new “Order sum” option (to “WooCommerce > Settings > Order Min/Max Amount > General > Order Sum Options”). You can now select “Order subtotal” there (vs the default “Order total”). Selecting subtotal however, will give the opposite result, i.e. discounts are not included when comparing the min amount (i.e. you will be allowed to checkout with 10 pcs. / $9), but, again, maybe I have misunderstood the problem…

    Hi @algoritmika

with the latest version, which I tried today, the calculation takes care of discounted products as well and correctly shows the amounts on the cart page.

    Thank you!

I would like o give you 5 stars but I receive the following message:
“Error: You do not have permission to edit that topic.”

This happens all the time I try to update my own ratings. Must be a bug on WordPress website.

Not a bug. It’s because your account is “modwatch”ed. I’ve now removed the flag because it’s been a couple of months since the last issue and you seem to be doing alright now.

“modwatched”? Am I such a bad guy that I can’t watch my mouth and someone else needs to do it? Quite funny – but annoying.
