• Hello guys,

Please, is there a way to configure the plugin to ignore some URL parameters?

I mean, instruct the plugin to don’t create a new cache file if specific URL parameters are present?

It would be useful for pages that uses common tracking parameters, like utm_*, gclid and fbclid, for example.

I’m really enjoying this plugin, thanks!

    Thanks!

Hello @adeelkhan, thanks for the reply.

What I meant was the ability to plugin to use an default URL if some parameters are available.

For example, if URL is https://domain.com/?utm_source=test&gclid=campaign_test, than don’t create a new cache file for this page, just use https://domain.com/ cache file.

This is useful for performance. For example, if I have a campaign in Google Ads and/or Facebook which sends people to my site, every hit on same URL coming from these campaigns will create a new file on the cache. This is because tracking code on parameters will be unique in every single click. The content of the page is exactly the same, the parameters only works for campaign tracking. This can create thousands of cache files for the exactly same page…

For reference, take a look at Comet Cache plugin. They have an option for ignore some URL parameters. User can set which parameters to ignore. Example of Comet Cache: https://pasteboard.co/IewZeBX.jpg

    Thanks!
