Ignore the negs! Great back user-friendly UI for entering map data

I’m not sure why this plugin has so many 1 stars, but I notice there are no reviews attached to them so go figure.

I’ve used WP Geo for a couple of years now and it works very well.

What I really like about it is the user friendly drag and drop (or enter postcode or address) map interface on the edit screen.

I actually don’t use it so much for output as I often want to place my maps in unconventional places. But it is easy to pull the lat long via get_post_meta and do what you like with it if you want.

That said it is a doddle to add maps to posts, custom posts etc using the WP Geo UI if that is what you want to do.

Plus the developer has been very responsive to my queries in my experience.
