    Hi Team

    Final query from me, hopefully!!

I’ve added some ‘simple products’ with a ‘regular price’ of £12.95 (inclusive of tax and free shipping) and I’ve created two global add-ons for different ‘sizes’ and ‘finishes’.

However when a customer selects a size (of say £19.99) this price is added on to the initial regular price before displaying the “wrong” grand total ??

I want to continue listing the cost of each different size (rather than just adding a cost on to the basic starting price) but is it possible to ignore the ‘regular price’ and simply use the add-ons price for checkout purposes??

    See here: https://www.laurencesweeneyphotography.com/shop/amble-rocks/

    Thanks in advance
    Matt

  • Hey,

I’m afraid that’s not how add-ons works. The prices are added on, rather than used as a separate total price.

What you’re describing sounds more like a variable product. Maybe have a look at setting your products up as variable. Have a read: https://docs.woothemes.com/document/variable-product/

    Cheers

    Thanks Jameskoster

The clue is in the name ‘add-ons’! As you say variable products appear to be the best way forward, it’s taken a while (to manually amend every product and assign all variables etc.) but got there in the end!
