Ignore Mobile?

    Thanks for your great plugin!

    In the bottom of the advanced tab there is a check box that says the following:

    ____Doesn’t deliver Retina images to mobiles.
    PictureFill doesn’t support it and cache will also prevent it from working.

    Could you give a more detailed description of what this means? It sounds like PictureFill won’t deliver Retina images to mobile devices. Does this just mean mobile phones that don’t have Retina displays?

    PictureFill does deliver Retina images to mobile devices, of course ?? And most of them now have Retina displays. But since the screens are very small, normal images are usually more than enough (and don’t really need the Retina images). Unfortunately, the PictureFill cannot avoid sending those big retina images to the mobile.

    So then is it really only necessary to deliver Retina images to larger devices such as iPads and other Mac computers with Retina displays? What about the larger iPhones?

    Mac computer yes, iPads yes, iPhones not really, especially they often use mobile network which are slower. Don’t worry too much for now. Make your websites look nice on computer screens first, this is the most important.
